"John (Jack) Hooper
John (Jack) Hooper, Linden, N.J., a former McAdoo Heights resident, died Sunday morning at his home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late George Hooper Sr. and Anna (Twaddle) Hooper, Catasaqua.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Genivive [sic]; a brother, George and a sister Olivin Lesser.
Surviving are a son, John Jr., Boston, Mass.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Carol) Kmetz, this city; two sisters, Mrs. Evan Roberts, Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Ellery (Irene) Whener, Catasaqua; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral will be held Wednesday at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. The Rev. James S. Henry will officiate.
The Damiano Funeral Home, Blaine and Cleveland Sts., McAdoo are in charge of arrangements.
There will be no viewing."
