Wrapping up John and Genevieve Hooper nee Brown with their wedding notice.

"Hooper-Brown

John W. Hooper of 401 East Walnut street and Miss Genevieve Brown of North Wyoming street, were married last Saturday morning at Wilkes-Barre. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lesser of Freeland. The groom is a son of Lieutenant and Mrs. Hooper and is employed as an operator at the Lehigh Valley Coal Company offices on East Broad street. The bride is a daughter of Charles Brown. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at theme of the groom's parents by Peter Demopulos of the Madison restaurant assisted by Miss Mary Maholock, an attache of the Madison.

The couple have taken up their residence on East Walnut street."

Not much to it. I was surprised that the wedding took place in Wilkes-Barre. Usually it's in the bride's church and that would have been St. Gabriel's in Hazleton. It didn't say anything about her family in attendance. I feel there's a larger story here, but I doubt I'll find out much more.
